"The Help" black and whites but best friends
"The Help" is a dramatic movie that takes place in Jackson, Mississippi in the 60s. That was a time of racial segregation. The story of this movie emerges from the desire of a white young woman to builds a forbidden friendship with two black helps and tells their stories. The universe of the movie is exclusively feminine. At the beginning of the movie, White housewife, are seen playing the bridge and spending afternoon with their whites friends. Each housewife has a black help, who serve them and take care of their children. The classic family in Jackson has a maid. These black women do not live in complete peace; it is all the interest of the movie. Employers bicker between them and despise abundantly their staff. Rather sadly, Hollywood seems to think that the public becomes identified more widely with a story led by white characters, here, the movie tries to wash the image of Whites during the segregation. The horrors of the oppression of black people are reminded but contrasted by white hero who will face adversity t...
