« TV Programme Hello my name is kali.

I have 25 years old.

I from to India, but now I live in USA with my wife since 5 years.

When I immigrate to the USA it was when I had 20 years old because in India there is a large population and I didn’t have a job.

So it’s very very difficult for to find a work in India.

And I wanted a job because I didn’t have lots of money and can’t to marry with my wife! So we decided to take a boat for to do a long trip up to America! I had this idea because I knew a man who before lived to India and he decided to living the American dream! And one day I received a letter of him, which says that his life it was better since he was America. So it’s for this that I decided to live in USA.

But we didn’t have enough money for to do the trip in plane! So we must to take a boat! On this boat there are a least 200 people! The trip it was very long it lasted more or less of one month! Because when we took the boat we were in December! So during the trip we had lots of storms and it was very cold! When we arrived in America, my friend the man who immigrates in USA before me, we expect on the dock! Because during the trip, 5 days before we arrived, I called to tell him the day we arrived.

During 2 years, me and my wife we lived with him because at the beginning we don’t have enough money for to buy a house! He helped us for to find a job, and to learn how to speak good English! Now I worked in a hotel as cooker and my wife is a nurse! Now since 3 years we have our house and a beautiful life!. »
