a : Look online for information about your movie (synopsis, trailer, actors…). SYNOPSIS : This movie is about a British mathematician, logician, cryptanalyst and scientist Alan Turing and his colleagues.

It's a dramatic film based on a true story.

Alan Turing has distinguished himself during his life on work that tends towards artificial intelligence and on the first computers.

A t the age of 13, he was violently harassed because of this which leds him to distance himself from the others.

It’s thanks to Christopher Morcom ( his childhood friend who died of tuberculosis shortly after they met) that he was able to discover his talent for decryption.

The movie begins i n Manchester, in the early 1950s, after a robbery in his house, Alan Turing, is questioned by a police officer.

He remembers his youth, in England in 1939, and how he convinced Commander Denniston to integrate the Enigma secret code decryption program, used by the Germans to communicate.

With a few men and a woman: Alexander Hugh, John Cairncross, Peter Hilton and Joan Clarke, all decryptors, mathematicians, scientists and staticians, he works under the direction of MI-6, a totally secret department.

But his solitary character complicates his relations with his classmates.

POSTER : In the poster, we can see Alan Turing from behind in front of a huge machine, (as if he wanted to remain anonymous by hiding his face) and combined with an intriguing title: " The imitation Game ".

The light accentuates a little more this face to face between the head of this intelligent man (Turing) and this machine.

As if Turing wanted to have a telepatic relationship with the machine by giving it his thought.

When we focus on the quote at the top of the poster and centered : « The true Enigma was the man who cracked the code » we can understand that Enigma isn’t the machine in itself, but the man who has succeeded in deciphering the codes of the machine (it’s settings).. »
