« It’s been years since brands used advertising as their number one technique to be known and it's been working like a charm.

People with or without knowing are looking at hundreds of ads throughout the day on the radio, on social media, tv and even websites.

Without realizing that the brain is taking in every information he sees.

That’s why brands use the repetition technique so our brain remembers ads even better.

Advertising has a way to control our lifestyle from the food we eat to what underwear we should wear.

It transformed little by little a diverse society into “clones”, like we can see with teenagers jumping on every trend they come across so in this essay we decided to ask ourselves how ads are controlling us by starting with the impact of ads in our everyday life and then the resistance of ads’ effect. Advertisement has become such a big part of our lives, influencing what we buy and how we think.

Think about famous slogans like Nike's "Just Do It." Social media bombards us with ads tailored to our interests.

Movies and TV shows subtly showcase products like Apple with Iphones, making them seem natural in our lives.

Influencers on social media also persuade us to buy certain things with video of them using it, saying they use it everyday and that’s how they got the perfect body or the perfect skin.

Ads don't just tell us about products; they shape what we consider important and desirable.

They affect how we see ourselves and others.

Ads will make people who buy those products feel better about themselves but on the contrary will make people who can’t buy their products feel poor and left out.

We see ads in absolutely every digital thing, it came to a point that you have to pay like for example video games to not have ads every 10 minutes, we are surrounded by them even when you dont think you are but every time you are at a bus stop there is one, every time you open a game you see one, you will always see them but now our brain is so used to it that if we don’t actually think about it, we don’t know how much of an impact they have on our everyday lives. Ads are everywhere and impact our lives without us knowing it but a lot of people can resist the temptation of buying whatever the ad wants us to buy but it requires mindfulness and.... »
