« English innovation and responsibility Hello everyone, today i’m going to talk about an innovation and the responsibilty that we’ll have to face afterwards.

My innovation is « the beeonic ».

Your heard it well, it’s a pun with bee the animal and the word bionic.

I am to explain to you what is beeonic, then we will see the importance of bees, and last but not least the consequences of this innovation and its responsibility.

What really is beeonic ? The Beeonic is a robotic bee created in 2016 conceived to relieve the declining bee population and assist them in their difficultt task.

In order to enable these robotic insects to join swarms of real bees, Beeonic was given the look & feel of a real bee while giving each body part a very important function in the process of pollination.

It was an innovation created on the idea of a drone that you could control through an application.

It may sound important but why is it, really ? climate change and human intervention have been having a negative effect on our world’s bee population.

All bee species are incredibly important to balance different ecosystems.

Bees alone are responsible for about one-third of the food we eat.

Even though bees are very important, their population is declining.

Beekeepers are used to 5 or 10 percent of the bees dying every year.

humans are the main cause of bee population decline.

With the destruction of their habitat, the presence of chemical products, and the global warming, we are assisting to their death. Indeed, this innovation appeared as a solution for that matter, but i think they are several consequences we have to mind : First, i think that adhering to that solution means abandonning our interest in real bees.

If we start creating lots of those bees, we will spend more money and time on the construction of those bots instead of protecting them.

I think that technology shouldn’t be a solution, but a fondation.

Except that in this situation it’s not just helping us, it’s doing everything for us and bees. The other matter is that the more we use technology, the more we are polluting.

We are contributing to global warming, and making a great amount of bees will participate to global warming, and this will kill more bees, this is a vicious circle. The last issue is that we can’t just replace animals, or in that case we can kill them all and make robots, it’s absurd.

Animals are important, we have to consider them more and consider robots less.

Conclusion : beeonic is a good invention, but it may be dangerous for environment as well.

I think that using some beeonic could be in the best interest for environment, but we have to care more about bees, and protect them, and not simply rest on technology.

Technology is really helping us in lots of aeras, but the consequences are often greater than the problem we are trying to solve.

Technology and innovations is a direct cause of global warming, and lots of innovations can be dangerous even if they seem to be in favour of environment, as this one.

It is our responsibility to use well technology so not to get in any danger and to protect nature.. »
