« Description Poster The Day After Tomorrow This document is a poster about the film “The Day after Tomorrow”.

This film was made by the director of Independence Day and was released on May 28, 2004. The poster has cold, monotonous colors like white, blue or gray. In the background, we can see a city.

It looks like New-York because of the skyscrapers and the Empire State Building.

She’s frozen and the surrounding are completely covered with snow.

There is also a ship buried in the snow.

One wonders if a snowstorm may have devastated the planet. In the bottom right-hand corner of the poster, we observe two tiny figures walking in the snow.

We might think that they are the only people left in the world, the only two survivors of the snowstorm and that they are marching towards New York hoping to find human life. The title of the film is in the middle-ground and in capital letters.

At the bottom, we find some information about the film : for example the release date, a website as well as the director of the film.

At the top of the poster, we find a question which is addressed to viewers of the film: « Where will you be? ».

I think this question is asked to ask us to think about what we could do if we were in the same situation as the two figures. I think the director wanted to show us how the world could become if we are not careful.

He aims at preventing people from damaging the planet. In my opinion, I find this poster interesting because it’s another way to make us aware of our actions.

It's a movie, so I think more people will find it interesting to watch a movie rather than read precautionary posters or listen to politicians. In conclusion, we can say that this poster is a way to protect the world by showing what could happen in the future.. »
