• Mobility can be a great experience when it's a dream that cornes
true but mobility can also prove an ordeal when you'd rather not
move.
ln any case it is a life-changing experience .
Changing
country, for example, is always a cultural shock .
Let alone the
learning of a new language, you have to adapt to a new way of
life, which can take you weeks or months.
Yet, what is definitely
wonderful about mobility is that since you need to change your
habits, you are bound to learn new things, meet new people,
observe their ways of doing things, ail of which will immensely
enrich your personality.
• Geographical mobility means a change of scenery , for sure! lt can
be very exciting but what if you don't feel like leaving your friends
or family? With globalisation , companies tend to relocate in ail
sorts of countries.
Sorne employees have to move otherwise they
lose their positions.
Forced job mobil ity can soon be a nightmare.
When you 're made redundant as a consequence of a joint venture ,
for example, you need to start looking for another job, which
sometimes means mobility in very hard conditions.
The notion of
mobility can therefore prove a low esteem of people from the part
of the companies.
If your boss expects you to move, to even enjoy
changing places regardless of ail the consequences this can mean
for your private life, you're bound to feel ignored as a persan .
• On the other hand, mobility shows so many positive aspects of your
personality that people will be more inclined to offer you a job when
they see how flexible and quick to adapt you are.
