« Chapter 1 — The Secret of the Old Clock In the village of Clairvigne, there was a house everyone knew but no one dared to approach: the House of Clocks. Its owner, Master Horatus, was an old man with a silver beard who repaired all kinds of watches and clocks.

In his workshop, more than twenty old clocks chimed at different times—sometimes too early, sometimes early, sometimes in complete silence. Many children were afraid of this strange cacophony.
