So, I decided to talk about the global city of « Los Angeles » also called « LA », because this city attracks me a lot.
1) Where is LA ?
Los angeles is a city located in the United States of America, in the southern California on the Pacific coast.
The city
has an area of 1200 square kilometre.
The Los Angeles climate is semi-arid Mediterranean characterized by mild,
rainy winters and hot, dry summers.
Over there, it is 8 hours less than here, in France so its about midnight right now.
2) Statitics of LA
Los Angeles is the second most populous city in the United States after New york and it’s also the biggest city of
California.
The population of the town is 3,976,322 inhabitants in 2016, whereas it was only 11,500 in 1887.
The
county has 10,179,716 inhabitants (in July 2004) whereas the urban area Los Angeles has about 18.5 million
inhabitants, making it the second largest agglomeration in the United States after New York.
But the city of Los
Angeles is relatively small compared to its agglomeration, even if it is larger than New York or Chicago.
In LA they are
25 districts and the most popular is Hollywood, of course.
3) Tourism
Now, lest’s talk about the tourism in LA.
If you go to Los Angeles one day, you can’t leave without doing these 5
places :
The Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard, and the Hollywood sign
The most famous pavement on the planet has been completed with stars, attributed to different celebrities.
There
are 5 different types, awarded to celebrities who have distinguished themselves in the field of cinema, TV, theater,
music or radio.
You can also see a giant sign "Hollywood" which is very famous around the world.
Beverly Hills
In addition to being a series that held all teens of the 90's in awe, Beverly Hills is a city in Los Angeles County.
To
continue on a cinematic note, Beverly Hills was especially known for attracting dozens of movie stars in the 1920s.
The celebrity houses
You'll understand it.
Who says Los Angeles says Hollywood and Beverly Hills, says film industry or music, and that says
celebrity.
