Brave New World
1- The controller "prefers to do things comfortably".
He wants to rid of an
unpleasant thing because he doesn't want to do things the hard way whereas he
can do it simply.
Contrary to the controller, the Savage wants to put up with an
unpleasant thing: "I don't want comfort.
I want God, I want poetry, I want real
danger, I want freedom, I want goodness, I want sin".
Personally, I think that it is
better to get rid of unpleasant things.
I believe everybody have the right to have a
nice life empty of all those unpleasant things and it's an obligation to everyone
search the peace and the happiness.
2- The Savage wants to live dangerously maybe he has chose this lifestyle because it
gives him the feeling that he is in life ( the danger gives him tast for life ). I
disagree with the thought of the Savage.
For me, the life is too short to expose her
to the danger.
We have to enjoy life at the maximum being careful of the danger
that surround us.
3- When the soul is submitted to a total comfort, it will be exposed to the bored.
Indeed, when the person live in the comfort, he will not go to search the happiness
and he will not challenge the life to find what she hides him.
So, the person will
stay in his place waiting the die and living a boring life without any spice.
In the
text, the Controller says "Men and women must have their adrenals stimulated
from time to time" "It's one of the conditions of perfect health.
That's why we've
made the V.P.S treatments compulsory".
"Violent Passion Surrogate.
Regularly
once a month.
We flood the whole system with adrenin.
It's the complete
physiological equivalent of fear and rage.
All the tonic effects of murdering
Desdemona and being murdered by Othello, without any of inconveniences".
The
development of modern techniques on human personality will prevent him to have
a normal life.
He will be addicted to the technology and without it he will can't
live because he isn't habitue to live experiences who make him feeling real
sensations (without using any treatment)..
