Dossier – The Yeti

Intro

The Yeti is a strange creature, appeared for the first time in the himalayan legends.

He measures between 1,50 and 3,75 meters and it was born in the Nepal. Moreover, it lives in inacessible environments like in the mountains or in the hills. He looks like a very big bear and walks like a human. In the each country of the world, he has a different name : for example in China it's the Yeren, in Japan it's the Hibagen, and in America it's the Bigfoot.

We can ask our self if the yeti is a true animal or just a legend.

First, the informations which show that the Yeti is a legend :

–        absence of fossils or corpes (cadavre), the clues are very difficult to prouve his existence

–        impossibility for alive population to last in time with less 500 individuals

But others informations show that the Yeti is a true animal :

–        The Yeti have been photograped by René de Milleville in Rolwaling in the Himalaya. 

–        coats and excrements suspects which are nowadays in the historic national museum.

For us The Yeti is a legend because the tracks which have been photograped were on more meters while a bear can walk stand that on only meters and on the coats, after more informations, the coats belonged at a goat (chèvre).

Nowadays, the Yeti appears in the fantastic novel with the famous autor  Howard Phillips Lovecraft

or in the comics with “Tintin au Tibet”...

He appears also in the horror movies as a big monster which eats the population.

The car brand Skoda has even created a car which name the Yeti.

For conclude, the Yeti is just a legend because all discoveries on this animal were false. Nowadays, it is considered like a big imaginary bear and becomes really a market in the publicity or movie...
